Dear Secretariat,
Mega Tonnage Carbon Capture & Sequestration by Chars in Soils and its place in the Design of Australia’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS)

Crucible Carbon welcomes the release of the Prime Minister's Task Group on Emissions Trading Issues Paper & the opportunity to make our submission.

For several years, the principals of Crucible Carbon have studied the problem of GHG emissions and climate change through the lenses of:
• the scientific principles involved
• the life cycle and natural recycling methodologies described by The Natural Step and others
• international realities
We have also reviewed in some depth most of the recent public statements of major Australian & international organisations on this subject. This includes the 120 plus submissions made to the Australian States NETTS in December 2006.
From that background we offer the following comments.
